I tried a lot of new things this semester. I got to do all my first oil paintings which the best experience. I was also able to experiment with more abstract art which was fun and new. Abstract work is like looking through a window into someone's mind. Using pastels was great too. At first it seemed a little hard because of the type of paper the flower pastel was done on which didn't let you make many mistakes because of the lack of the ability to erase as well as you could on normal paper. For me, with art you can express yourself a lot easier than you could with just words.
